🎤 Reducing Airport Check-In Queues using an AI-based planner
Facing the challenge of long queues and operational inefficiencies during peak travel times, Brussels Airport required a sophisticated approach to manage check-in desk allocations effectively. At Radix, we implemented an AI-based optimization engine utilizing Constraint Programming, which optimally determines the check-in desk opening times and flight assignments based on the expected passenger flow. Our model has been shown to highly reduce overflow and queue lengths, highlighting a significant improvement over planning strategies previously employed by Brussels Airport.
